I've snuck in a bit of sewing during the week and this WIP is for two blocks for the tone it down quilt, not for the quilt itself :-(
Block 13 has two seams left to sew. I knew this one would be problematic, as the fabric for the centre of the block is a bit light in value. I had to try and use low value fabrics that wouldn't compete with the main colour. I think it's turned out alright.
For block 14, all the little bits are sewn together, but there's still a fair bit of sewing to do. It's not ready to go on the design wall. I've also made and connected another 5 hexi flowers for my other quilt, but no photo of the new flowers yet.

Oh I love this quilt pattern, i can't figure out how to get hold of it in the UK. Yours looks fab!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for completing all those blocks! I love this quilt pattern but honestly, I am afraid to start it! I don't know if I will ever finish!!
ReplyDeleteYou're making great progress! I think all your blocks will look great when all together. I wouldn't worry too much about the contrast. It will all blend nicely. I just finished cutting out #7 and #8. It took forever! I know you told me you cut before you started sewing. I don't think I'd ever finish! I'm going to try to work on 2 at a time and see if that helps. I also should stop starting new projects! It's a bad habit I have!!
